Considered the most beautiful and easiest trek in Garhwal Himalayas, this is the best trek for beginners, families, and students. Starting from the crystal-clear waters of Deoriatal lake (home to 80+ species of Himalayan birds with stunning reflections of Chaukhamba and Kedar peaks), the trail winds through dense semi-alpine oak and rhododendron forests to Chopta meadows, ascending to the sacred Tungnath Temple (the highest Shiva shrine in the world / 3rd Kedar) and the 13,564 ft Chandrashila Peak with panoramic 360° views of Nanda Devi, Trisul, Dunagiri, Hathi Parvat, and the Gangotri range.
Pick up in Rishikesh, 7 hrs scenic drive to Sari Village (starting point). Gentle 1 hr (2 km) trek up to crystal-clear Deoriatal (1,800m). Overnight camping by the lake with views of Chaukhamba, Kedar, and Neelkanth peaks.
Walk through dense semi-alpine forests of rhododendron and oak connecting to the meadows of Chopta. Spot Himalayan wildlife and birds. Arrive at Chopta (3,000m) for a fabulous Himalayan sunset. Overnight camping/guest house in Chopta.
Excursion via Tungnath temple ('PANCH KEDAR'). A steep 1 km final climb leads to Chandrashila Peak (4,130m / 13,564 ft) for breathtaking views of Nanda Devi, Trisul, Dunagiri, and Chaukhamba. Descend back to Chopta base.
After breakfast, trek 6 km downhill to Pothibasa. Board private vehicles and drive 6-7 hrs back to Rishikesh. Trip concludes with lifelong memories.

We cap our fixed departure groups to a maximum of 12 trekkers to ensure personal attention, pristine campsite ethics, and maximum mountain safety.
